Criteria
Dates:
In order to be considered, you must submit your interest by October 6, 2023
- Accepted Students will be notified on October 16th
- Members of the 2023-2024 Art Honor Society will be inducted on October 26th, 2023
- First meeting will be November 16, 2023
National Art Honor Society Criteria:
● Have completed Studio Art with a final average of 90 or higher.
● Maintain 85 overall average and a 90 or higher in all art courses.
● Be enrolled in at least 1 art course within the 2023-2024 school year with the intent of continuing to be
enrolled through 12th grade.
● Be a student and person of good character by respecting the art room, works of art and all students.
Being neat in work habits, work space, and classroom environment. Assisting with classroom
maintenance. Setting an example of exemplary Honor Society behavior and a mentoring nature.
● Be willing to perform service for Art Honor Society to benefit and enrich the arts, our school program,
our community, and the world.

Requirements Once Inducted:
• Be willing to perform service for Art Honor Society to benefit and enrich the arts of the art program, the community, and the world.
• Mentoring other students in class and being role models of good behavior.
● Attending all Art Honor Society meetings and complete a minimum of 8 AHS service hours through the
activities of peer mentoring, school art promoting events, fine arts service work, and creating art for
school, public, or world use.*These hours are not applicable toward Saint Dominic Service hours.
● Regular attendance in class and on time with assignments.s are not applicable toward St. Dominic community service hours)
