Principal’s Welcome
Welcome to St. Dominic High School - "The place where you can get there from here." Building on the legacy created more than eighty years ago by Msgr. Charles J. Canivan, founding pastor of Saint Dominic High School, students have never been a number, but rather, individuals known by virtually every teacher and every other student who walks through these halls on Anstice Street, play on our fields in Muttontown or pray in our Chapel and Church.
At St. Dominic High School our faculty and staff make sure we know your children. Our environment is conducive to personally mentoring them...we want them to excel academically, morally, socially and spiritually, and the better we know them—how they study, what their goals and ambitions are, who they are as human beings—the better they will do at Saint Dominic and in their preparation for college.
99% of our student body attend college , receiving both academic and athletic scholarships. This is what happens when a child chooses to attend a school where it is the name—and not the number—that matters.
Your child matters at Saint Dominic. We invite you to call, to come and visit, and to see us as we really are—educators, coaches, moderators—who know young people and help them grow and develop into our leaders of tomorrow. At Saint Dominic, your child is a person…not a number.
Sincerely,
Denise T. Smith
