You will need to memorize any one of the attached prayers. While no one but you (and God) will know if you do, you are encouraged not just to choose randomly or choose the shortest one or the one you think will be the easiest, but to choose a prayer that has meaning to you and to pray it regularly during the Lenten season. This will make it a lot easier to memorize, but will also help you know another simple prayer (perhaps a new one to you) that you can pray regularly. I will ask you to write out the prayer from memory just before the Easter break on April 15. You can adapt the prayer you choose slightly by changing a word or two, but it should be recognizable as the prayer on the attached sheet.
