About Me
Ms. Pitaluga graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Dance from Adelphi University in 2015. Ms.Pitaluga is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 5 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. She is also certified in Dance Education through NDEO and holds a VIRTUS Certification. Ms.Pitaluga has interned with Ballet Hispanico. Along with being on faculty as the Dance Teacher/Production Manager for the Schools of St. Dominic, she is also a dance teacher for several private studios on Long Island. She is on the Board of Directors with the Josephine Foundation and is also in the process of getting her Masters in Education at Molloy College. Ms.Pitaluga performed with Jazz Roots Dance Company under Jazz legend, Sue Samuels. Although Ballet is her concentration, Ms.Pitaluga grew up dancing at Just For Kicks, School of Dance and is well-versed in a variety of styles. In addition, she was Captain of Oceanside Varsity Dance Team. She continues studying with various choreographers to enrich her creative process. Ms.Pitaluga studied with the companies of Verdon Fosse, Joffrey Ballet and Jazz, Briansky Ballet, Amy Marshall, Keigwin+Co., Mark Morris, Limón, Martha Graham and Paul Taylor. Credits include: Disney’s The Little Mermaid, May The Schwartz Be With You, Cabaret Night, It’s A Musical, Jazz Roots Dance Company repertoire, Cracked-ATDW, Air-Keigwin+Co., Cloven Kingdom-Paul Taylor, Dance Adelphi-semi-annual performances, Long Island Dance Project, “Nutcracker” corps de ballet and soloist Two World’s Dance, Eglevsky Ballet Repertory Company, ATDW Repertory Company, “Nutcracker Suite” soloist Divine Rhythms.
Ms.Pitaluga is thrilled to be joining The Schools of St.Dominic. Her wish is to build the Performing Arts Program as a whole and inspire young students to never give up and to follow their dreams.
