Bio

Mr. Brendan Sullivan is in his first year ('24-25) as a member of the St. Dominic community. Before his arrival on Anstice Street, Brendan held many roles and would serve as a history teacher, advisor, coach, senior leadership team member, and most recently as the Assistant Principal at a private institution in Locust Valley. Throughout his experiences, Mr. Sullivan understands that relationships are at the center of learning, and cultivating a school environment where students can grow and progress as they develop into lifelong learners is essential.

As an alumnus of St. Dominic High School, Mr. Sullivan recognizes the many opportunities on campus and is excited to help continue enhancing the school in all aspects. Mr. Sullivan fondly looks back on his time as a student in the halls of Marian and Canivan Halls and appreciates the strong connections he created at St. Dominic, aiming to help today's students leave with the same lasting impression. Following his years at St. Dominic, Mr. Sullivan continued his academic and athletic pursuits at St. Joseph's College, where he earned a degree in history. He would then serve as an assistant coach for the baseball program and continue his education in the master's degree program in secondary education at Queens College.

"St. Dominic High School is a special place. The people, teachers, staff, and coaches let their faith guide them and give everything they have to their students. To be at a school where being kind is the norm, supporting your peers is expected, and building on the tradition is a goal....it is rewarding!"
