Biography
I joined the St. Dominic family in 2004, and this is my 22nd year teaching English.
Over the past several years, I have learned so much from my students and realize they face new challenges in the journey from high school to college. My goal is to help them read and write at a level that will enable them to succeed in academic and professional environments.
I love writing and GRAMMAR, and I love getting my students interested in it too! For the last two years, I have been working for the College Board as a Rater for the AP Language and Composition exam. I love working with teachers from around the country through this experience and other professional development opportunities.
In the mornings, you can find me with our Media Broadcast Club team in the St. Dom's studio producing our Morning Announcements livestream. We are always looking for new members, so please join us if you are interested!
My undergraduate and graduate degrees are from Hofstra University, and I have completed work toward an MBA at Adelphi University. I enjoy doing a whole host of things, including kayaking and reading anything by Ralph Waldo Emerson and spending time with my family.
