hello my name is Peters hi I'm a senior at Saint Dominic high school and a member of the history National Honor Society and James abelia and I have create a slide on European Imperial control in Asia specifically will be discussing spheres of influence in China with that being said Sean the slides below is a map of the Shang Empire which was controlled by several different nations including France Britain Russia and Japan it's very important that we ask ourselves what were spheres of influence these were particular areas in which countries had a portion of political and economic control and not however directly govern these locations these large Nations often disregarded the rights of citizens we will now discuss the error of the Qin dynasty they were the final dynasty in China with rain from 1644 to 19 + there are various reforms that were implemented under chain rule which included but was not limited to foreign trade involvement diplomatic Coors the Civil Service and territorial expansion as a result of China's influence they were involved in the Opium Wars the British export opium captivated the interest of Chinese citizens as the Opium addiction became widespread the Chinese government acted swiftly authorities enforce the sea Euro British shipments to China the British declared war on China affect their ability to sell opium in China with that being said and James will now provide a more in-depth review on Spears of influence in China British info in China so after finding the Opium Wars against China the British and Chinese sign the Treaty of Nanjing in 1842 ended the Opium Wars and Britain won in China lost so China had to give concessions to the British this gave Britain the island of Hong Kong Suzuki island in the South China Sea and access to China's trade trade ports so bring a lot from China including land from them to see a map and it shows Hong Kong right with that arrow is and it's right near the other British colonies just India and Australia so now but three of them could trade with each other effects of spheres of influence the 20th century China had lost a huge number of ports to European powers and lost control of its economy I know was in chaos they had no money and they couldn't get any money from seaports because they were all in that controlled by by Europe in European powers looks an uprising and overthrow the Shang Dynasty so thank you all for the name and I hope you enjoy this presentation and learning about Sears of influence in China
