Welcome to the
Social Studies Department

Thank you for visiting the St. Dominic Social Studies Department. Every student must take four years of history. The department offers a variety of advanced placement courses and electives. 

Advanced Placement courses

  • AP World History
  • AP United States History
  • AP United States Government and Politics
*Pre-AP World History is offered as a freshman course. Placement test dates can be found on the school calendar. 
 

Elective courses

  • Sociology
  • Psychology
  • International Relations
  • The 1960s
*Electives rotate on a yearly basis. Please see the course offering booklet for specific electives for the year.
 

The department also offers the following clubs to students:

  • Model UN
  • FBLA
  • InterAct
  • Mock Trial
