Introduction to Fashion-1246

The basics of fashion design will be introduced to students. They will study examples of fashion and applying the elements of design used from many different time periods. Putting to use their knowledge of fashion trends from different eras, students will use inspiration from the past to create a contemporary design of their own. Students will learn about terminology, patterns, textiles and accessories in the fashion world. Please check student handbook for any prerequisites.

This course is designed to allow the fashion student to continue in his/her development in the creative aspect of fashion design by having deeper knowledge of the categories, properties, lines, textures, effects, needs and trends of fashion. Projects will reflect real world practices/projects in fashion. Please check student handbook for any prerequisites.
