Spanish National Honor Society Students Excel on National Spanish Exam

Congratulations to several of our Spanish National Honor Society students who chose to take and attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2022 National Spanish Examinations.

Students earned a total of:

2 Silver medals: Michael Skillmore, Croí Spillane
1 Bronze medal: Ryley Davis
4 Honorable Mentions: Julianna Appleton, AJ Laibach, Marie Varous, Ava Woodstock

“Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on the National Spanish Examinations is very prestigious,” said Lisa Greenman, National Director of the Exams, “because the exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with over 73,000 students participating in 2022.”

Students from St. Dominic have a long history of high achievement on these exams. Mr. Wikstrom, Ms. Turano and Ms. Herrera are extremely proud of their students! The National Spanish Examinations are administered each year in grades 6 through 12, and are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.
