National Honor Society for Dance Arts
The National Honor Society for Dance Arts Secondary Chapter of St. Dominic High School was first brought to the school in 2021. The society is made for students who have participated in their Dance Classes on a daily basis and whose average adds up to a 3.0. The mission of our chapter is to educate the school's community on the importance and beauty of Dance. The members are either a part of The St. Dominic Dance Ensemble, The Bayhawkettes Varsity Dance team, are a part of their own studio outside of school, or all three!! Another mission of the society is to participate in Fundraisers that benefit and assist local studios with costumes, dance attire, and shoes. Members also participate in year round trips to NYC to explore Broadway Shows and all of the culture Manhattan provides! Dancers in grades 10-12 are eligible to apply.
The National Honor Society for Dance Arts holds its meeting monthly on a Friday afternoons.
