About Me

My name is Vincent Castelli, and I have the privilege of teaching Regents Earth and Space Sciences, as well as the elective course Anatomy and Forensics.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a second Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, both from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. I later completed a Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Adolescent Education: Biology. Before becoming a teacher, I worked in medicine as a Medical Technologist in a hospital laboratory and then spent nearly 20 years in the Biopharm/Biotech industry in a sales role, working with companies both in the U.S. and abroad. These experiences shaped my perspective on how science is applied in the real world and strengthened my desire to share that knowledge with students.

My love of science began early, but it was truly my 9th-grade biology teacher who inspired me to pursue the field. That experience is what drives me today—I hope to be that same kind of teacher for my students, sparking their curiosity and leaving a lasting, positive impact.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading (especially science fiction), fishing, golf, and following sports. I’m a lifelong, though often long-suffering, Mets, Giants, and Islanders fan. I grew up here on Long Island and currently live on the North Shore of Nassau County. I am also a proud parishioner of St. Dominic
