St. Dominic’s warmly welcomes Mrs. Stampfel, who joins us after the closure of Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Syosset, where she spent the past decade teaching physics and chemistry. With an extensive teaching career and enthusiasm for the art of science, Mrs. Stampfel brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for science to our community.

A devoted sports fan, Mrs. Stampfel enjoys finding creative ways to connect the principles of physics to sports, fostering a unique and engaging learning experience for her students. She’s also excited to cheer on the many sports teams here at St. Dom’s.

Teaching runs in the Stampfel family. Her husband, a former math teacher, now serves as an assistant principal and baseball coach. Meanwhile, their son recently began his second year as a Spanish teacher, as well as a lacrosse and basketball coach. Together, they share a passion for education and athletics.
