Biography
Annemarie O’Brien joined the St. Dominic High School community in 2008 after graduating from Fairfield University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a minor in Secondary Education. While teaching at St. Dominic, she continued her education and earned a Master of Science in Adolescent Education in Mathematics from Molloy College in 2011.
After nine years of teaching at St. Dominic, Annemarie took time away from the classroom to focus on raising her children. During those years, she remained connected to education by teaching as an adjunct professor at LIU Post for several semesters and regularly tutoring students in mathematics.
Now, Annemarie is excited to return to the school community she has always considered home. She teaches Algebra and Algebra 2 Honors and is thrilled to once again share her love of mathematics, passion for teaching, and enthusiasm for helping students discover their own confidence and potential in math.
