National English Honor Society
National English Honor Society: Veritas Chapter
To gain admittance, students must submit an application in September. If admitted, students must attend our induction ceremony in October.
Once admitted, we welcome all ideas to spread a love of reading, writing, and communicating with each other!
Members must attend meetings and have documentation of participation of twelve hours (6 hours by January; and 6 hours by May) of the following activities, which does not include class time:
- Media Communications
- Peer tutoring
- Yearbook
- Video lessons
- Bookworms
- NEHS activities
Meeting Dates: Oct 1, Nov 5, Dec 3, Jan 7, Feb 4, Mar 4, Apri 1, and May 6. Please let me know in advance if you are not able to attend a meeting to discuss the matter, Two missed meetings is unacceptable, and students will no longer be members.
Our pledge is "Duty goes with honor." It is an honor to be a member of the National English Honor Society, and we look forward to a great year of service to our community!
